I purchased this toilet for a half-bath, and I am quite pleased with the beauty and functionality of this toilet.  Upon reading a few of the reviews and prior to installation, I was wondering if I made the wrong decision.  However, it is now installed and more gorgeous than in the showroom.  My neighbor even saw it unpackaged in my garage and stopped by to tell me it was a beautifully designed toilet.  Regarding functionality, the flush power is strong, and it is comfortable seating (with no back splash for me).  It also saved me room compared to the previous toilet.  I have been indifferent on toilets in the past, but this is truly a beautiful addition to my half-bath.

A Stylish Toilet with Great Functionality

We did a master bath reno during the summer of 2025 and had the Brazn toilet installed in our en suite bath. It's a good thing we have two other toilets in the house because we avoid using this toilet unless we need it in the middle of the night. The design is flawed for both male and female anatomy. My husband is unable to sit on it as the front of the toilet is too shallow and his anatomy hits the toilet bowl. I get splash back when peeing no matter how I sit on the seat and I use twice as much toilet paper to dry myself off. In addition, the toilet does not handle flushing #2 down consistently. Sometimes it takes 3 flushes to accomplish this. So much for being environmentally conscious! I held off on writing this review figuring it couldn't get any worse until recently when my husband noticed the toilet sprays water onto the floor when flushed if the toilet cover is not down all the way. It has become clear that in order to fully use our new master bath, we will need to source another toilet. IMO, there is nothing redeeming about this toilet other than the cool, streamlined look. Don't be duped by buying form over function!

Brazn Toilet is Form Over Function

We recently installed the Kohler Brazn one-piece elongated toilet and here’s how it stacks up, what works really well, and where it misses the mark.

What I Like (Pros):

-Clean, minimalist design that looks modern and polished. The one-piece body + skirted trapway makes it easy to wipe down and maintain. 

-The dual-flush works quietly. When flushing “light,” it’s not jarring or loud — a definite plus in shared bathrooms.

-The water flow is circular, which seems to help with rinsing the bowl interior more evenly. It feels like less buildup in awkward corners.

-The “quiet-close” elongated seat is nice — no slamming, which helps preserve the seat and reduces noise. 


What’s Problematic (Cons):

-The front inner rim is too high. For men, this means parts can touch the ceramic surface unintentionally. This is uncomfortable and can be messy; it feels like a lack of practical testing before release.

-Despite the good flushing and design, sometimes the bowl doesn’t feel quite roomy enough because of that raised front. If you’re tall or need more “space up front,” you might notice the discomfort.


Verdict:

I’m giving this a 3 out of 5 stars. It hits high marks in style, quiet operation, and ease of maintenance, but the design oversight at the front inner rim is significant enough for some users (especially men) that it lowers its usability. If I were designing this, I’d urge the engineers to re-evaluate that front rim height before launch.

Stylish & Quiet, But Flawed Design for Men

I purchased the Kohler Brazn with the intention of installing a compatible bidet seat. Unfortunately, despite multiple attempts and even with the assistance of an experienced plumer, I was unable to install the bidet seat.

Customer service assured me that it was possible and requested that I take time off at my own expense to address the issue with one of their representative. This was not an option for me. In the end, they simply refunded the bidet seat but not the toilet itself.  The whole costumer service has been a harsh experience.

I am now left with a toilet that is supposed to be compatible with a bidet seat, but without the bidet seat.

This is something to seriously consider before purchasing this product.

Disappointing

This fixture replaced a Kohler Saile toilet. The flushing action is powerful and efficient. The toilet looks great. The bowl depth is not great at the front of the bowl, however. Pic taken before replacing the faucets with Kohler Composed.

Elegant, modern design

The design itself feels almost custom-made for the space, and the function is the best I've ever experienced… I just hope it lasts and lasts and lasts

I love the BRAZN aesthetic, super clean 1 piece.  It work ok, not nearly as well as I would expect for the price, but the real disappointment is not being able to change the flush lever to match fixture color.. ok got over that one, but Kohler doesn't offer a Bidet seat to fit the compact - elongated design. Will I be able to purchase a replacement sear then the time comes?  Doubtful!    So now I'm stuck with a dead-end product or have to replace a near new toilet somewhat expensive toilet.  Sure, the dealer who sold me the unit should be held accountable, but why offer a product incompatible with your own standards and add-on products?. That's poor product management IMHO!   Kohler, you've lost a previously loyal customer.

Dissapointing

hi my name is hector i bought this toilet 6 months ago because it is  a very beautiful design but not practical here is my reason. if you are a family that  put toilet paper and flush it this toilet is not for you .  this toilet clogged if you flush toilet paper over the 6 months I have with this 3 toilets I have to call my plumer 4 times to  unclog  this toilets he explained to me that the flange base is to small to flush toilet paper

I love the design of this toilet but the front of the bowl is to angled and if a man sits on the toilet his private parts hit the bowl special if they are older. The seat need to be higher. Since this seat is odd shaped they is no replacement to make the seat taller. I would like to return it. Sadly I love the design hate that my husband has to walk all the way to the other side of the house to use the toilet. I gave it 2 starts because the design is beautiful.
