I selected this kitchen faucet because it was only one of two I could find anywhere that weren't ridiculously tall. Most faucets today would extend to the middle of my kitchen window and seem better suited for a dog washing station. I am pleased with the size and simplicity of style. However, the spray-head hose is a synthetic fiber material and kinks very easily - not like the metal hoses of the old days. There is also a water limiting feature in the head, so it takes about 2 minutes to fill my coffee pot. Very annoying.

Not like the old days

I've remodeled two bathrooms and one kitchen and have bought Kohler faucets for everything.  They are really grea quality and the selection is good without being overwhelming.

I only buy Kohler faucets

The pull out faucet is nice and fits my sink well and is easy to use.  However the water volume and water pressure are lower than my previous and similar pull out faucet.

Faucet Works Well

Rival® Pull-out kitchen sink faucet with two-function spray head - Matte black works fine but feels very cheap.  I expected something heavier for paying $400 for it.  The stream setting doesn’t come down and a steady stream, it is half stream half spray.

Tge design has the angle perfect height.   The water flow is angled forward slighly forward so there is no splashing all over the counter behind.  Swivel, spray and pullout work easily.  Nice finish.  The parts are higher quality so i should not be replacing plastic parts.

Quality faucet

You know the old saying they don’t make things the way use to as to this faucet they have decided to remove the option of a removable aerator allowing it to be cleanable and remove particles that can reduce water flow as well they have removed a pre screen filter to again protect the spray head from getting clogged. So once your spray head gets clogged and your water flow is cut down there’s nothing you can do but to call Kohler for a new spray head . Poor design on there part, you will need plenty of spray heads over the life time of your faucet or no water flow or pressure. This should not be a reason to have to buy a new faucet but maybe that is what they want

The body of the faucet is well made and sturdy. The handle (pull-out faucet) is flimsy, light in weight. Water pressure/spray option is weak. Product looks nice though, if you prefer looks over function, this is an excellent looking product.

Don't make 'em like they used to

The color is perfect and the faucet swivels great with wonderful sprayhead

Gourgeous to look at and very easy to use

We didn't want the very high sink faucet which seems so popular now. We don't care for them and the sink is in front of a window so we didn't want the high profile. We very much like our choice of the Kohler Rival. It looks great and works fine. The button to engage the spray feature is on the underside of the handle. With our old one it was on top and visible. The Kohler makes for a cleaner look.
